Bald Mountain Jeep Trail
The “Bald Mountain Jeep Trail” is a historic trail that dates back to the early 1900s. It was first used by local residents to access remote mining and logging camps in the area. The region was rich in natural resources, including timber, iron, and copper, which were harvested by settlers and used for building homes and infrastructure.
It’s worth noting that the “Bald Mountain Jeep Trail,” or “Big Levels,” has deep mud holes and May is the perfect time of year to get stuck and see the mountain laurel come into bloom. This moderate off-road trail attracts off-roaders from around the globe, and we’re excited to share this experience with you.

About the trip
Please note that this is a 100% self-supported overland excursion. You must supply a trail-worthy 4×4 with all-terrain tires, as well as food and water for the day. This ensures that you are fully prepared to tackle challenging terrain and enjoy a safe and successful adventure.
This exclusive trip is limited to only 5 rigs, ensuring a personalized and intimate experience. This small convoy size will also allow us to maintain a low impact on the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the area.
This trail requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle with a minimum 2-inch lift over stock and 33-inch all-terrain tires. Your vehicle should also have front and rear recovery points to ensure safe passage through the challenging terrain. With steep climbs and rocky paths, it’s crucial to ensure that your vehicle is equipped to handle the trail’s demanding conditions.
This promises to be an unforgettable experience, so mark your calendars and prepare for an epic adventure.
